About Us
We’re on a mission
U-turn Outreach is a registered UK charity that is dedicated to equipping homeless people and communities in South Africa with the skills to overcome homelessness. For over 25 years, U-turn has refined a programme providing skills for effective pathway out of homelessness.
The charity assists over 5000 individuals accross South Africa every year, providing a structured phased programme.
Over 80% of U-turn graduates remain sober and employed long term. To find out more about the programme see below.

Journey
out of Homelessness
People access basic needs such as meals, clothing and ablutions through a voucher system, removing money from the streets.
When ready, people access therapy and rehabilitation, with shelter. U-turn has a 70% successful rehabilitation rate.
Once sober, people can access work opportunities as well as skills training and ongoing therapy. See U-turn’s social enterprises.
When ready, people secure open-labor work. They access a support group. 80% of graduates remain employed and sober.
