Mike has over 20 years of experience in supported housing and homelessness from London, UK. He began his career on the front lines as a Support Worker for the homeless charity Centrepoint, before managing various hostels.

Today, Mike serves as Director of Practice Development at Look Ahead, a housing association committed to helping people at risk of homelessness with a range of support needs. In this role, he oversees Safeguarding, Quality, and Policy across the organisation.

Mike’s connection with U-turn is through his church community, which has seen families
leave London and work with U-turn in Cape Town. He is keen to share his UK insights to
strengthen U-turn’s work in South Africa and has been the secretary for the Board of
Trustees at U-turn Outreach UK since early 2023.
